Skiing

100m from the venicular railway station; a short ride of 6km takes you to Strbske Pleso which is the most comprehensive skiing resort in the area, further along the line are other mountain resorts. By car a 40minute drive takes you to Jasna, the largest resort in the Low Tatras. Many other skiing areas can be accessed in a car within 30 minutes.

Recreation

Aqua city provides a full water experience for all the family includes swimming, sunbathing, sunbeds, massage, steam rooms, sauna, ice room, slides, aqua aerobics, activities for the kids etc. A number of castles including the largest medieval castle in Europe are with in an hours car ride. Rafting and canoeing are also available in the in an area called Pieniny 40 mins from the flat. The area has a number of spectacular caverns.

Walking

The Tatra Mountains are ideal for the medium level walker, with plenty of nice Chatas to stop for a cup of tea or an overnight stop. The Slovenski Raj offers exciting walking with many walks in limestone canyons, 40 mins from the flat.

Local Towns

Poprad is 20 minutes away providing shopping, restaurants, tourist office, attractive town center. Spiska Sobata, now a district of Poprad, is medieval village with square and beautiful church. Liptoski Mikalaus is also 20 minutes away with an attractive town center.

Airport 20 mins. Taxi, train and car hire available.
